Man Kicks Police Officer In Face: Nassau Police
Tristan Persaud faces a second-degree assault charge, police say.

WANTAGH, NY — A police officer was kicked in the face during an incident at a Wantagh home on Sunday, police said.
Responding to a disturbance at the home, officers heard loud screaming and saw Tristan Persaud, 24, being restrained by his family, Nassau police say.
While police placed Persaud into custody, he stood up, fell back and kicked an officer in the face, detectives say.
The officer, who suffered cuts to his face and blurred vision, was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police say.
Persaud was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday on a second-degree assault charge.
