Man Shoots Arrow Near School, Taken Into Custody; Nassau Police

WANTAGH, NY — A man was taken into custody on Monday, charged with reckless endangerment.
Thomas Albanese, 56, is accused of firing an arrow from his backyard, police said.
An employee at the Nassau BOCES Rosemary Kennedy Center on North Jerusalem Road saw an arrow fly above her head while walking to the school, detectives said.

She did not suffer any injuries.
An investigation of the neighborhood led police to Albanese, who said he was practicing archery, was arrested without incident, according to detectives.
