Multiple Car Crash Injures 1 On Sunrise Hwy In Wantagh: Police
One person was transported to the hospital after a five-to-six car crash on Sunrise Highway in Wantagh, Nassau County police said.

WANTAGH — One person was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries following a five-to-six car crash near the intersection of Wantagh Avenue and Sunrise Highway, a Nassau County police spokesman said.
The crash, which took place at about 11:13 a.m., forced police to shut down Sunrise Highway just east of Wantagh Avenue. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, police said. The eastbound lane on Sunrise Highway was reopened to traffic by noon.
The crash was one of two that snarled traffic this morning. In Uniondale, a speeding SUV crashed into a bridge at the Meadowbrook State Parkway just before 11 a.m., police said. One person was transported to an area hospital.
