Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. WANTAGH — One person was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries following a five-to-six car crash near the intersection of Wantagh Avenue and Sunrise Highway, a Nassau County police spokesman said. The crash, which took place at about 11:13 a.m., forced police to shut down Sunrise Highway just east of Wantagh Avenue. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, police said. The eastbound lane on Sunrise Highway was reopened to traffic by noon. The crash was one of two that snarled traffic this morning. In Uniondale, a speeding SUV crashed into a bridge at the Meadowbrook State Parkway just before 11 a.m., police said. One person was transported to an area hospital.
