The Wantagh High School varsity football team was recognized during the Jan. 23 meeting of the Nassau County Legislature, held at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola.
Legislator Steve Rhoads presented each player with a citation for having won the Long Island Class III Championship this past fall season.
