Nassau Man Terrorized Neighbors, Threatened Them With Shotgun: PD
Police say he shattered windows in their home and threatened to shoot them.

A Wantagh man was arrested Monday afternoon after police say he terrorized his neighbors and threatened them with a shotgun.
According to police, Joseph Magistro, 33, of Bayview Avenue, became enraged with his neighbors over an ongoing dispute and approached their home while carrying a shotgun, and threw barbells through their windows at 3:30 p.m.
The two people in the home at the time — a 62-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy — went outside to investigate, and then fled back into the house to call police.

Police say Magistro also broke a window in the back of the house and screamed and threatened to shoot the two with his shotgun.
After an investigation, police arrested Magistro without incident. He was treated at the scene for a cut to his hand and was taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation. No one else was injured.

Magistro is charged with two counts of second-degree menacing, two counts of second-degree aggravated harassment, third-degree criminal trespassing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal mischief. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 24 in First District Court in Hempstead.
