Nassau Police Looking For Man Who Robbed Bank In Broad Daylight

Police say the man walked into the bank just before 1 p.m. and passed the teller a note demanding money.

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Wantagh Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the man entered a TD Bank, located at 1200 Wantagh Ave., at 12:50 p.m. He approached the teller and passed a note demanding money. The teller gave the man an undetermined amount of cash, and then the man fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The robber is described as being in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a slim build and brown beard, wearing a grey sweatshirt, a black knit hat, black scarf, black pants, white sneakers, sunglasses and gray and black gloves.

There were three employees inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.

The Major Case Bureau is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 12:50 p.m. in Wantagh.
