EMHS Marching Band Places First at Columbus Day Parade

East Meadow High School's Jet Marching Band captured first place in this year's Columbus Day parade in Manhattan Monday, Oct. 14. The band has participated in the parade since 1992. This is the band's twelfth first place win. Click here for more. 

New Homes to be Built on Former Army Base

Rookie Rugby Comes to Bellmore-Merrick

Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District students recently had an opportunity to learn and play non-contact rugby. Rugby NY, in partnership with USA Rugby and sponsor AIG, brought the Rookie Rugby program to the district through in-school instruction and a special nighttime clinic, followed by the Bellmore-Merrick Fall Rugby Classic last week. Click here for more.
