Officers Find Several Assault Rifles While At Nassau Home: Police

Police arrested the man who owned the rifles early Monday morning, they said.

A Seaford man was arrested early Monday morning after police say they recovered multiple illegal guns in his home.

According to police, officers were on an unrelated call to the home on Narragansett Avenue at 2:20 a.m. when they discovered several assault rifles in the home. Frankie Valenti, 27, was arrested without incident.

He is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of criminal possession of a firearm and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
