Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Wantagh Friday evening. According to police, a man armed with a handgun entered the BP sas station located at 1442 Wantagh Avenue, approached the clerk and demanded money at 6:18 p.m. The employee complied and the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash into a wooded area. He was last seen heading north on a dirt path located behind the gas station, police said. No injuries were reported.The robber is described as white, 19 to 25 years old, 5-foot-8, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, blue bandana covering his face, silver sunglasses, a dark baseball cap and black gloves. Police ask anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.Google Maps image
