SEAFORD, NY — Seaford High School senior Andrew Ceraulo has been on a roll in multiple senses of the word this year.

As a member of the varsity bowling team, Ceraulo is in his fifth varsity season, a career marked by five Nassau County championships and two second-place finishes at the New York State championship.

In the classroom, the wins haven’t stopped, either. Ceraulo has maintained a 99.3 weighted GPA throughout his high school career, taking six AP courses and being selected as the Nassau County High School Bowling Association’s 2026 Todd Heimer Scholar-Athlete award.

Cerraulo said the award was “an honor and a reminder that hard work pays off,” district officials said, citing the support of his teammates and coaches as part of what made the academic and bowling careers possible.

He started bowling at a cousin’s birthday party at four years-old, taking part in winter leagues throughout his childhood and working his way up to an impressive varsity career that featured a 300 game in his junior year and a tradition of excellence that he said was, “awesome.”

“I think my Seaford bowling experience, even though we had two heartbreaking endings, was nothing short of awesome,” Ceraulo said. “We would always find a way to get back to the states.”

District officials said Ceraulo hopes to bowl in college while majoring in meteorology.
