SEAFORD, NY — Students in Seaford High School’s Radio Club are following the lead of their professional counterparts by producing a weekly podcast, school district officials said in a news release.

The club typically meets after school on Thursdays to put together a weekly podcast and discusses different topics of interest, such as paranormal activities and the Mandela Effect, district officials said. The podcasts, which are under the direction of adviser Michael Kerr, are then edited and shared on SoundCloud, according to district officials.

Seaford’s radio club also has a booth in the main hallway of the high school, where the student deejays take turns playing music into the cafeterias during lunch periods, district officials said.

Junior Aurora Fitzgerald told district officials that she enjoys the podcasts because she gets to learn about new topics, hear other opinions and work on her public speaking skills.
