Seaford Man Nabbed On E-Bike With What Is Believed To Be 70 Small Packets Of Heroin: Police
He was caught in a traffic stop on Merrick Road on Thursday, Nassau police say.
SEAFORD, NY — A Seaford man was nabbed on an E-bike with 70 envelopes of what is believed to be heroin on Thursday, Nassau police said.
Bureau of Special Operations officers saw a man riding an E-Bike westbound on the sidewalk of Merrick Road at around 3:20 p.m., and activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop, near Seaford Avenue, according to police.
During the investigation, the E-Bike operator Thomas Coyle, 47, of John Lane, was found with 70 glassine envelopes containing a white powdery substance believed to be heroin and was placed under arrest without incident, police said.

Thomas Coyle was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, a seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and reckless or uncontrolled operation of a bicycle, a violation, and a VTL violation.
He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail without monetary conditions at his arraignment on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead, online court records show.
