Seaford Manor School Students Celebrate Chinese New Year

Third graders learn about customs and culture of China.

Third graders at Seaford Manor School celebrated the Chinese New Year by feasting on Chinese food after spending weeks learning about the country’s customs and culture, geography, language, currency, folklore and school system.

The students wrote essays on why they would prefer going to school
in China or the United States and examined the differences and similarities between American and Chinese fairy tales. Students organized their research and essays by putting them in journals.
