Seaford School Board Candidate Profile: Jeanmarie Wink
Recently appointed trustee hopes her experience as an educator and a Seaford parent will continue to benefit the district.

Jeanmarie Wink has called Seaford home for more than two decades, and now with her children having moving on to college, she hopes to dedicate more of her free time to the district.
Wink, an educator for nearly 30 years, was to the Board of Education table this past October along with Annalisa Siracusa Antonette following the of trustees Michael Sapraicone and John DelGuidice. She is running unopposed for the Seaford school board along with Susan Ruona. The top vote-getter between Wink and Ruona will receive a full three-year seat on the board with the second place finisher filling out the remaining year of DelGuidice's unexpired term.
"My hope is that my experience as a Seaford resident for 22 years and my experience as an educator for 28 years will help in the budget process," said Wink, who is principal at in the Levittown School District. "Being an active member of the community, I have a pulse of what the community needs and wants for its children."

According to Wink, the Seaford community needs to understand the importance of passing .
"The biggest issue facing Seaford this year is clarifying to the community what is meant by the 2 percent tax levy limit and the negative effect a failed would would have on the students and the community," Wink said. "Having sent two children through the Seaford schools, I know first hand what was afforded to my children and hope the same traditions as well as new programs can be added over time."
