Seaford Students Perform in All-County Music Festival

Nearly 50 student musicians from Seaford School District showcased their talents in the Nassau Music Educators Association All-County Music Festival at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of LIU Post.

Students were selected for the festival based on their New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) evaluations and teacher recommendations.

“These students epitomize the talent and commitment it takes to perform at this advanced level,” said Superintendent Brian Conboy. “The rising number of Seaford students selected for All-County, All-State and All-Eastern ensembles in recent years is a testament to our dedicated staff and their efforts to put forth a high-quality music program, even during challenging budget years.”

The following is a list of musicians, their grade levels and instruments:

• From Seaford High School: Band members Henry Cheung, grade 10, alto saxophone; Samridhi Grover, grade 10, bass clarinet; All-Eastern and All-State musician Melanie Koulias, grade 12, bass clarinet; and Emily Word, grade 10, Bb clarinet; chorus member Andrea Williams, grade 10, alto, and mixed chorus members Steve Andruseaski, grade 12, tenor; Zulfiya Asquino, grade 12, soprano; Richard Dupkin, grade 12, bass; All-State musician Paul Franco, grade 12, bass; All-State musician Matthew Ho, grade 11, tenor; Dana Liuzzi, grade 11, soprano; Alex Luber, grade 12, bass; Danielle Murphy, grade 12, alto; and
