Second Suspect Arrested in Connection With Area Burglaries

A 16-year-old youthful offender is charged with four counts of second-degree burglary.

Nassau County police arrested a second suspect who they allege is connected to four area burglaries from December.

The 16-year-old youthful offender, who is from Levittown, is being charged with four counts of second-degree burglary. The charges are connected to the arrest of Giovanni Colantuono, 20, who for an alleged connection to the four burglaries on Thursday. He was charged with four counts of second-degree burglary and criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree.

The four burglaries that the suspects are allegedly connected to occurred at homes in Levittown, Wantagh and Seaford. Two of the burglaries occurred on Dec. 19. The others occurred on Dec. 13 and Dec. 21.
