Two Men Sought In Carjacking: Police

The victim had just parked her 2020 Mercedes Benz when the men asked for directions before demanding her vehicle, police say.

WANTAGH, NY — There was a carjacking in Wantagh on Thursday night as two men flashed a handgun at a woman, who had parked her car on Ridgewood Drive, police said.

The men approached the victim saying that were lost and asked for directions, police said.

One of the men, according to detectives, displayed a gun and demanded the key. The victim complied and the men fled in the 2020 Mercedes-Benz southbound on Wantagh Avenue.

The victim saw a dark-colored, older model SUV leave the scene following the men in her car, detectives said.
