Nassau County Legislator Siela Bynoe is one of the Democratic candidates seeking to succeed Kathleen Rice in Congress.

WESTBURY, NY — Nassau County Legislator Siela Bynoe is one of the Democrats looking to succeed Kathleen Rice in Congress.
Bynoe was a guest Tuesday's "Patch AM" to discuss her reasons for the campaign.
"My career experiences uniquely qualify me to be able to be a very effective voice for this congressional district in Washington," Bynoe said.

One way, Bynoe said, her voice can make a difference is by dealing with the "aftermath of the pandemic that we're still facing here on Long Island."
Bynoe said she's confident in her June 28 primary chances.

"There's a path to victory for me in this race," Bynoe said. "Aside from having 99 percent of my legislative district sit in this congressional district, I've been able to pick up support from Long Beach to Bellmore."
