Voters Easily Approve Seaford School Budget, Incumbents Re-Elected to BOE

Seaford residents headed to the polls Tuesday.

Seaford residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $65.3 million budget was approved by a margin of 1,197 to 432. The budget is a 2.63 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.23 percent hike in the school tax levy.

Voters also returned incumbents Bruce Kahn and Janice Baldwin to the Seaford Board of Education. Both ran unopposed.
