Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Wantagh firefighters battled an early morning truck fire on Sunrise Highway on Monday. According to the fire department, the call came in at 4:48 for a truck fire on Sunrise Highway. Firefighters arrived and found the cab of a tractor-trailer fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to keep the fire confined to the cab and put it out in about 20 minutes. Sunrise Highway was closed in both directions for about a half hour while firefighters were working, due to the fire and heavy smoke making the road unsafe.No one was injured.Photos: Courtesy Paul Krussman
