Wantagh High School Artists Among LI's Best
Wantagh High School student-artists displayed their artwork in the Heckscher Museum of Art's Long Island's Best Exhibit this spring.

WANTAGH-SEAFORD, NY - From Wantagh Union Free School District: Eight of Wantagh’s top artists were selected to participate in the Heckscher Museum of Art’s Long Island’s Best Exhibition from March 17-April 15, an annual arts education initiative and only juried exhibition on Long Island that offers students the opportunity to exhibit in a museum setting.
Wantagh High School juniors Sarah Cashton, Katrynna Jackowicz and Lindsey Moore and seniors Felisa Bronzino, Sarah Corry, Erin Hogarty, Allie Schadoff and Kerriann Steingruebner were selected to display their artwork. Of the district’s eight exhibitors, Allie Schadoff received an honorable mention.
During the Long Island’s Best Exhibition, students in grades 9-12 are invited to create a work of art based on artwork shown at the museum. Eighty pieces are selected each year for hundreds of entries from Nassau and Suffolk counties.
