Wantagh High School Names Its Valedictorian And Salutatorian
Both of the students at the top of the class of 2018 are extremely impressive.

Wantagh High School has named Michael Hennig and Olivia Zukowski as the valedictorian and salutatorian for the class of 2018.
Hennig is an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction, co-president of the National Honor Society and president of the National Science Honor Society. He is also a class of 2018 officer, a member of the Foreign Language Honor Society and a participant on the Science Olympiad and Rube Goldberg teams. As a trumpeter, Hennig is co-president of the Band Council and a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He also plays varsity volleyball.
Zukowski is an AP Scholar, president of the Foreign Language Honor Society and co-vice president of the National Honor Society. She is class of 2018 President and co-president of the Government Organization, where she serves as one of three Board of Education liaisons. As a finalist in the Trust for Sustainable Living Essay and Debate Competition, Zukowski traveled to Dubai. She has also published three articles in the American College of Cardiology as a result of her research in the district’s Science Research Program. Zukowski is also a Science Olympiad participant and a member of the National Science Honor Society.
