More than 100 Wantagh High School seniors were recognized for outstanding achievements during the annual Senior Awards Night held in the school auditorium.
This cherished tradition recognizes the student’ overall academic accomplishments, community service, extracurricular involvement and abilities to overcome obstacles during their four years of high school. During the ceremony, the students received approximately $20 thousand in scholarship money from local community businesses and organizations, as well as special honors from government officials.
Principal Carolyn Breivogel congratulated the students on their years of dedication and enthusiasm to academics, sports, the arts and community service and thanked the teachers for their commitment to education. To the students, she said, “You always hear me say that your name is your most prized possession, and your names will be called this evening.”
