The Wantagh School District is pleased to announce that student Xin Xie received a Gold Circle Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association for her artwork and literary memoir published in the high school’s literary magazine “Escapades.” The name of the memoir is “Beijing,” which describes memories of her birthplace.
The Gold Circle Awards recognize achievement in both verbal and visual categories for newspapers, magazines and yearbooks. This year, the Gold Circle Awards attracted more than 6,000 entries from students on the high school and collegiate levels. These highly coveted awards are extremely difficult to win.
The district congratulates Xin Xie on this outstanding accomplishment.
