Wantagh Honors 34 AP Scholars
Nearly three dozen students were honored for their performance on the Advanced Placement exams.

WANTAGH-SEAFORD, NY - From Wantagh School District: The College Board has recognized 34 Wantagh High School students as Advanced Placement Scholars for exceptional achievement on the May 2018 national exams.
- Seventeen students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving a 3 or higher on three or more exams and include: Emily Boden, John Coltellino, Sonny Compono, Danielle Coppola, Kyle Craig, Theodore Craig, Jacob Don, Katrynna Jackowicz, Meghan Kirk, Jillian Laino, Grace McKenna, Kayla Rende, Lauren Salerno, Kayla Schmidt, Matthew Soethout, Kelly Talty and Carlo Tobia.
- Kathleen Browne, Brianna McCartney, Andriana Patmanidis, Isabelle Samudio and Eric Sedig received the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of 3.25 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of those exams.
- Sarah Cashton, Matthew Diaks, Drew Donaghy, Michael Errico, Thomas Garvey, Tyler Lucher, Erika Meagher, Samantha Minars, Thomas Moran, Gianna Paier, Constantine Patmanadis and Angelina Torre also qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 4 or higher on five or more of these exams.
AP courses completed with a score of 3 or higher on the final exam may afford students the opportunity to earn college credit.
