Wantagh Honors Retiring Staff Members
More than a dozen staffers, with hundreds of years of combined experience, are leaving the district.
From Syntax: The Wantagh School District congratulated 14 administrators, faculty and staff who announced their retirement at various board of education meetings during the 2018-19 school year. Superintendent of Schools John McNamara congratulated and thanked the retiring faculty for their dedication to Wantagh students as well as their service and commitment to the community.

- Ann Sallustro – elementary education teacher – Mandalay Elementary School (13 years)
- Cheryl Schwartz – elementary education teacher – Mandalay Elementary School (25 years)
