Wantagh Middle School Students Give Back
They collected more than 100 pounds of food to distribute to needy families.

An important component of a Wantagh student’s education is community service, as witnessed in Wantagh Middle School’s student council Thanksgiving food drive.
During each homeroom period, students collected canned and nonperishable food items. Students managed to collect 729 different food items.
On Nov. 22, student council Co-Advisers Elyse Brill and Keldya Volpi delivered the food to homes across Wantagh, along with a $25 gift card to King Kullen and a letter from students.
