Voters Easily Approve Wantagh School Budget, Incumbents Re-Elected to BOE
Wantagh residents headed to the polls Tuesday.

Wantagh residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.
The $76.2 million budget was approved by a margin of 1,937 to 390. The budget is a 0.65 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 0.18 percent hike in the school tax levy.
Voters also returned incumbents Kera McLoughlin and Peter Mountanos to the Wantagh Board of Education, beating out Jean Quinn.
