Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Wantagh residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.The $76.2 million budget was approved by a margin of 1,937 to 390. The budget is a 0.65 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 0.18 percent hike in the school tax levy.Voters also returned incumbents Kera McLoughlin and Peter Mountanos to the Wantagh Board of Education, beating out Jean Quinn.
