Wantagh Schools Calendar 2019-20: Vacations, Conferences

WANTAGH, NY — Summer break is officially over for Wantagh students, who head back to school Tuesday. With that, parents and students in the Wantagh Union Free School District ought to know several important dates for the 2019-2020 school calendar

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/3 — First day of school
• 9/30 - 10/1: No school (Rosh Hashanah)
• 10/9: No school (Yom Kippur)
• 10/14: No school (Sukkot/Columbus Day)
• 11/5: No school for students (Election Day/Superintendent Conference Day)
• 11/11: No school (Veterans Day)
• 11/27 - 11/29: No school (Thanksgiving recess)

• 12/23-1/1: No school (Hanukkah, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• 1/20: No school (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 2/17 - 2/21: No school (President's Day/Winter Recess)
• 4/9-4/17: No school (Spring recess/Passover/Holy Thursday/Good Friday)
• 5/21-5/26: No school (Memorial Day Recess/Feast of the Asension)
  6/26: Last day of school
