Wantagh Students Give The Give Of Toys

Wantagh students coordinated and collected toys for the needy as part of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toy for Tots program this holiday.

WANTAGH, NY — Forest Lake Elementary School Student Council developed a coordinated campaign — creating colorful signage — to collect toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves' Toys for Tots program this holiday season.

Under the direction of advisers Nicole Pataky and Meghan Prokesch, council members created the signage announcing their collection and decorated boxes were placed in the school’s lobby. Through their toy collection efforts, the student council members assisted the Toys for Tots foundation in achieving its goal of distributing toys to less fortunate children in the Wantagh community.
