Wantagh Students Mix It Up For Halloween
The annual lunch event is designed to promote tolerance among the students.

WANTAGH-SEAFORD, NY - From Wantagh Union Free School District: Wantagh High School senior leaders dressed in clothing from various decades to set the theme for this year’s annual Mix It Up Lunch, held in the cafeteria on Oct. 27.
Sponsored by the Southern Poverty Law Center, this national event encourages students to identify, question and cross social boundaries to create an environment of tolerance. The high school’s goal was to encourage students not to segregate themselves during lunchtime and to make new friends and acquaintances.
The younger students were invited to tables decorated according to decade, where they were encouraged to mingle with older students and class peers. There were also friendly games and prizes distributed throughout the lunchtime chatter.
