Wantagh Teens Hold Food Drive At Library
The Wantagh Library is working with Long Island Cares for the month-long charity benefit.
WANTAGH, NY — As the weather gets colder, the need to help families is heating up.
A holiday food drive is taking place through November at the Wantagh Public Library. Donated non-perishable items will be delivered to Long Island Cares. The charitable organization distributes food to families who are less unfortunate.
As the library director Shannon Marchese said, the drive is being organized by Teen Thinkers, a new group for students in grades 6-12 to get involved at the library by planning programs and events.
