Wantagh-Seaford Taekwondo Stars Honored

Participants competed in the 2013 US Nationals Taekwondo Tournament in Chicago.

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano honored the United States Taekwondo championship team during a ceremony on Aug. 16.

All of the 65 participants competed in the 2013 US Nationals Taekwondo Tournament in Chicago. The tournament was formerly known as the United States Junior Olympics.

A Korean Martial Art, Taekwondo enjoys popularity throughout the world and holds the unique position as a Martial Art, Korean cultural export, and World Olympic sport.
