Wu-Tang In Wantagh: Legendary Hip Hop Group Announces Jones Beach Concert On Extended Tour

The iconic hip hop group will feature a grammy award winning opener at the Jones Beach concert.

WANTAGH, NY — The Wu-Tang Clan will perform on Long Island this Summer as the group’s “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber” tour continues with a U.S. leg, the group announced Monday.

Currently finishing up a spring slate of international dates including stops in Australia and Japan, the group announced it would be playing U.S. concerts later this year, starting with an Aug. 27 date in Darien, NY and wrapping up with an Oct. 4 concert at Phoenix, AZ’s Talking Stick Arena. For Long Island fans of the Staten Island-based hip hop collective, there will be a concert Sept. 13 at the Northwell at Jones Beach Theater. While it’s not the only concert in New York, the Darien date is just east of Buffalo, making this the only leg of the tour many New Yorkers can reach.

Opening for Wu-Tang on almost all of the dates later this year will be Grammy award winners Bone Thugs N Harmony, of “Tha Crossroads” and “1st Of Tha Month” fame. The Cleveland-native group will be absent from tour dates in Atlantic City, NJ, Shakopee, MN, Atlanta, GA, Thackerville, OK and Sacramento, CA.
