The Wantagh High School Advanced Drama class presents Neil Simon’s Fools, a hysterical family friendly comedy on May 2nd & 3rd at 4:30pm and 8:00pm and on May 4th at 2:30pm and 8:00pm. Tickets are $11 for Students and Senior Citizens and $14 for Adults and may be purchased on-line or at the door.
Set in an idyllic Russian hamlet, Fools tells the story of Leon Tolchinsky, who arrives at his new teaching assignment only to learn that the entire village is suffering from a 200-year-old curse of stupidity. As Leon navigates a village where cows are milked upside down to get more cream and housewives sweep dirt from the street into their homes, he falls in love with a local girl and attempts to break the curse before it claims him as its latest victim. Fools is performed by a talented and vibrant cast of students and features slapstick and Vaudeville-style comedy, making it a fun theatrical experience for the entire family.
