Located in Washington Heights, the Renaissance Chorus Association is happy to offer our 2026 Christmas sacred music programming. A chamber chorus, our featured events at two wonderful local venues are easily accessible via bus subway and for wheelchairs.
We are led by Richard Porterfield, expert in Medieval and Renaissance programming and education. We feature full scholarly notes and translations, and our work is online.
Music History or Musicology is unexpectedly fascinating when coupled with beautiful voices and in a holiday spirit. Past concerts referenced the Tudors, the Hapsburgs, the Gonzagas; now we add the Medicis. Our 2025 Monteverdi 'ORFEO' was widely praised - a dramatic wonder.
I invite browsing our venerable offerings, and recent recordings/videos here: renaissancechorus.org/events.html
Look for me at our December 13 and 20/26 Concerts!
Christmas cheers,
Sigmund Rosen, bass.
