$1 Billion Luxury Tower Coming To The Village: Report
A development coming to 570 Washington Street is set to smash downtown home price records, the NY Post reported on Monday.

VILLAGE, NY — Yes, a billion with a b, that's how much a new luxury tower from developers known for creating the city's most expensive buildings will cost after it gets constructed in the Village in coming years, the New York Post reported on Monday.
Zeckendorf Development, builders of the ultra-expensive 15 Central Park West address, just teamed up with Atlas Capital Group to quietly sign a contract to buy 570 Washington Street — which is a 1.3 empty acre between Houston and Clarkson Street along the West Side Highway, reported the Post.
The Post added that the developers plan to build a $1 billion-plus, 36-story, super-luxury condo tower. The apartments will be priced around $5,000 per square foot, which is "unheard" of for Lower Manhattan.

Another source told the publication that it is "all but guaranteed to top every downtown sale price record."
The 570 Washington Street address is located at the southernmost part of Greenwich Village just before the beginning of SoHo.

The luxury tower will also be a quick walk from where Google plans to put its $2.1 billion terminal at 550 Washington Street.
