GREENWICH VILLAGE, MANHATTAN — A new bookstore run by the manager of the Upper West Side's shuttered Book Culture store has opened on MacDougal Street, according to amNY.

Bravo's Book Nook recently opened in the lobby of the Players Theatre, which sits at 115 MacDougal St. near Minetta Lane. The new store will offer children's books and publications on theater, munis and Greenwich Village history, according to the report.

It is owned by the Players Theatre's Michael Sgouros and Brenda Bell, whose children's theater Literally Alive Theatre has a residency at Players.

Jory Southurst, who was the general manager of the Columbus Avenue Book Culture on the Upper West Side, will run the bookshop.

“Jory not only brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the store but his passion for books will be invaluable in creating a great community resource in Greenwich Village,” Bell told amNY in a statement.

Book Culture's storefront was forced to close earlier this year when an agreement between owners and landlords to pay off hundreds of thousands owed in back rent fell through.

The store will soon become a new location for famed East Village book store The Strand.

Bravo's Book Nook is open 12 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The shop has already started planning events for its new storefront, including a book signing planned for March 10.

That event, scheduled for 7 p.m. at the store, will feature "How To Raise a Reader" authors discussing tools for parents to instill a lifelong love of reading in their children
