Here's Who Greenwich Villagers Are Donating To For Mayor In 2021
New interactive maps show which ZIP codes have raised the most money in the 2021 NYC election cycle. Greenwich Village nears the top.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — ZIP codes in the Greenwich Village have donated some of the most money to 2021 mayoral candidates of any area in New York City.
The financial data was revealed in new maps by the City University's Center for Urban Research and the city's Campaign Finance Board.
The maps break down how much money each NYC ZIP code has raised for all participating 2021 candidates and allow users to search for donations by candidates and races.

Here's the information for Greenwich Village's two main ZIP codes.

- Number of donators: 525
- Average donation: $427
If you combine the two ZIP codes, former business executive Ray McGuire has a commanding lead in the amount of money raised through donations from Greenwich Village residents.

Andrew Yang officially filed to run for mayor after the most recent fundraising deadline, meaning he hasn't been included in the donation game so far.
While ZIP codes in Greenwich Village are near the very top of the list in most money donated to the mayor's race, the neighborhood is outpaced by the Upper West Side and Upper East Side.
The UWS's 10023 ZIP code covering the Lincoln Square area has raised $542,300, the most money for the mayor's race of any ZIP code in the five boroughs.
On the other side of the spectrum, residents in ZIP codes like 11428 in Queens Village and 10455 in the South Bronx have donated less than $400.
