Looters Snatch $500K In Handbags, Luxury Denim In SoHo: Cops
Cops have released photos from two separate raids on luxury stores that happened during a first and second night of widespread looting.

SOHO, MANHATTAN — Looters grabbed tens of thousands of dollars worth of goods from high-end SoHo stores last week even as Mayor Bill de Blasio imposed his curfew on New York City, according to police.
Cops have released photos from raids on two luxury SoHo stores that happened the first two nights of widespread looting in New York City.
In the first incident, a group of suspects broke into the Naked and Famous denim store on Grand Street around 1:30 a.m. June 1, the tail end of the first night of widespread looting throughout the neighborhood.

Once inside, the looters grabbed about $150,000-worth of merchandise before running away.
More than 400 people would be arrested that night, leading Mayor Bill de Blasio to put in place an 11 p.m. curfew on New York City the next day. Cops have also recently released photos of a raid on a high-end camera store that netted $550,000 that night.

But the June 1 curfew that would follow didn't stop the next group of looters.
The second incident cops released photos from happened just after the mayor's curfew around 11:30 p.m., when a group broke into the Rebag Store on West Broadway.
The suspects can be seen in the store's surveillance cameras grabbing handfuls of luxury handbags and clothes off the racks. In all, the store would lose about $375,000-worth of merchandise that night.
The mayor would move his curfew earlier the next day, though he'd later face widespread criticism as it created confusion among essential workers meant to be exempt from the curfew and led to a crackdown on peaceful protesters.
Police released photos of suspects from both of the incidents.
