Man Found Dead Under Subway Car in West Village: NYPD

WEST VILLAGE, NY — An unidentified man was found dead under a subway car at the downtown F-line platform at the West 4th Street Subway Station Saturday afternoon, police said.

At around 3:11 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male under a train. They found an unconscious and unresponsive man under a subway car inside the tunnel at the location, police said.

The man suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing.
