Teen Arrested for Possession of Loaded Gun in Greenwich Village Subway Station: NYPD
The 19-year-old-man had a loaded .38-caliber revolver and marijuana on him, police said.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A Queens teenager was arrested by the NYPD Tuesday afternoon for possession of a loaded gun and marijuana in the W. 4th subway station, the Daily News reports.
Montell Hooks, 19, was blocking the turnstile and begging subway riders for metrocard swipes at the uptown F train platform, police said. When officers confronted Hooks and asked him for identification, he allegedly pushed one of the officers and tried to run away, police said.
Officers found a loaded .38-caliber revolver and marijuana on Hooks. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, criminal possession of marijuana, obstructing government administration and violating local law, police said.

According to the Daily News, Hooks was previously charged with forgery and possession of a stolen credit card.
