Violent Splasher Burns Woman In Village Subway, Cops Say
A woman was sent to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a stranger splashed her with an unidentified liquid at the 14th Street station.
WEST VILLAGE, MANHATTAN — You've heard of a subway flasher, but what about a subway splasher?
A woman was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon after she was splashed with an unknown liquid that burned her skin at the West 14th Street subway station around 1 p.m., officials said.
The woman was standing at the West 14th Street and Seventh Avenue station near the token booth on the 1 train platform when a woman came up and threw the unknown liquid onto her, police said.

She was treated for burns from the unidentified liquid and eventually sent to Lenox Hospital, according to FDNY and NYPD spokespeople. The woman is likely to survive the burns, police said.
The mysterious splasher ran away from the station and has not yet been found, police said.
