HAMPTON BAYS, NY— A person was killed in a single-car crash on Sunrise Highway Wednesday night, police said.
According to New York State Police, the crash took place at 7:50 p.m. between Exits 65 and 66 in Hampton Bays; the vehicle hit a tree on the north shoulder, police said.
The roadway remained open, police said.
