19-Year-Old Drove With Guns, BAC Almost 3X Legal Limit: Cops
A driver called 911 to report his "erratic" driving, police say.

WESTHAMPTON, NY —A 19-year-old from Mastic was found driving while intoxicated on Sunrise Highway near Westhampton with a handgun and modified shotgun in his vehicle, police said.
According to New York State Police, Antonio Smith was driving on Sunrise Highway on Oct. 24 at 8:44 p.m. near Exit 62 when a driver called 911 to report his "erratic operation." Troopers located Smith stopped on the shoulder, police said.
Upon further investigation, Smith was found to be in possession of an unregistered handgun and a modified shotgun; he was also found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .23 percent, almost three times the legal limit of .08 percent, police said.

Smith was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated driving while intoxicated and was held for morning arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
