1st NY Humpback Whale Stranding Of Year In Westhampton
The 37' female deceased humpback whale was found at Cupsogue County Park, officials say.

WESTHAMPTON, NY — The first humpback whale stranding in New York for 2019 was reported in Westhampton Sunday, officials said.
According to the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society, a report came in late Sunday morning about a deceased 37' female humpback whale that stranded at Cupsogue County Park.
The AMCS team works is currently working on coordinating heavy equipment, with earliest response possible Monday, said Rachel Bosworth of AMCS.
