30 Students Inducted Into National Junior Honor Society
The 30 Hampton Bays middle school students were inducted during a candlelight ceremony.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Hampton Bays students made their hometown proud: During a candlelighting ceremony on Jan. 27, 30 eighth grade students at Hampton Bays Middle School were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for students.
To be eligible for membership, the students were required to have a cumulative average of 92 or better and meet the standards of leadership, service, citizenship and character.
The Hampton Bays School District congratulates the following inductees: Sumeja Bytyqi, Nathaniel Cote, Jonathan Coulton, Vasyl Datsyuk, Shea Egan, Jacqueline Flores, Cooper Foley, Sarah Herrera, Andrew Japa, Eman Khalid, Ethan Kurz, Caitlyn Lupia, Lillyann Maffia, Lucas Magnozzi, James Maroulas, Sarah Mendel, Taylor Meyers, Parker Molina, Brendyn Molnar, Michael Nunns, Isabella Palma, Charles Patek, Connie Penafiel, Brayden Redmond, Leah Russell, Trey Scudder, Adriana Tapfer, Dennis Williams, Mackenzie Wilson and Matthew Zheng.
