Westhampton DWI Crash Leads To Arrest: Police

WESTHAMPTON, NY — A Westhampton man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a Montauk Highway crash Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at 5:38 p.m. Marcelo JuarezAjcuc, 36, was involved in a crash while driving southbound on Seabreeze Avenue and Montauk Highway in Westhampton, police said.

While conducting an investigation of the crash and interviewing JuarezAjcuc, officers observed that he was operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition, police said.

JuarezAjcuc was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police Department headquarters for arrest processing and was held to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment, police said.

Marcelo JuarezAjcuc was charged misdemeanor DWI and several violations of the New York State vehicle and traffic law, police said.
