Annie Gosfield To Host Open Rehearsal At Watermill Center On Wednesday

The composer will be holding the rehearsal tomorrow starting at 7 p.m.

Composer Annie Gosfield will be holding an open rehearsal on Wednesday, Oct. 1 starting at 7 p.m. at the Watermill Center in Water Mill.

Gosfield (sampler) and Roger Kleier (electric guitar) will be performing “Captured Signals and Radio Ephemera.”

The piece couples recordings of original broadcasts of jammed radio signals from World War II with acoustic and electric sounds that mirror the odd timbres and unique processes of this often surreal wartime radio interference. The work in progress draws largely on improvisation, composition and extended techniques.
