Bay Street Theater Announces Columbus Day Weekend Line-Up
The theater will host three shows this weekend: I Love Being Here With You, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, and They Lyricist.

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announced their line-up for Columbus Day weekend.
Judy Carmichael will present her show I Love Being Here with You on Friday, Oct. 10. The evening will include a VIP ticket opportunity to mix and mingle with the artist at a cocktail party following the performance. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Carmichael and her quartet will celebrate Judy’s first all-vocal CD I Love Being Here With You with songs by Peggy Lee, Irving Berlin, Gershwin and others from the Great American Songbook will be performing songs from the CD

Judy Gold, will be performing 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother on Saturday, Oct. 11. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Gold’s, monologue, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, came about as she traveled across the country to interview Jewish mothers and how overprotective they are. She wrote and starred in 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother at St. Luke’s Theater/Ars Nova in New York City. That show won the 2007 GLAAD award for Outstanding New York Theater.

The two time Emmy Award-winning comedian and actress has been seen in many shows including The Judy Show – My Life as a Sitcom which she wrote and was nominated for the 2012 Outer Circle Award. Gold was the lead in Vagina Monologues at Westside Theater in New York City. She also wrote and produced The Rosie O’Donnell Show.
Betty Buckley presents her new show titled The Lyricist on Sunday, Oct. 12. The evening will include a VIP ticket opportunity to mix and mingle with the artist at a cocktail party following the performance. The show starts at 8 p.m.
The Lyricist is an evening of song celebrating some of the greatest writers of Broadway songs and the American Songbook. Buckley especially celebrates lyricist Oscar Hammerstein and also pays homage to contemporary writers including Stephen Sondheim and Mary Chapin Carpenter. John McDaniel will accompany Buckley on the piano. The evening will include a collection featuring new arrangements of some of Buckley’s favorite songs as well as two songs from her new album Ghostlight “Come to Me Bend to Me” and “This Nearly Was Mine.”
The Tony Award-winner has become the quintessential leading lady of the American musical theater through her dazzling performances in Cats, Sunset Boulevard, 1776, Pippin, and many more.
